La haute autorité du LR a rejeté lundi 29 août 2022 la candidature de Virginie Calmels à la présidence du Parti des Républicains.
L’argument présenté par la haute autorité est que Virginie Calmels avait repris sa carte trop tard pour se mettre sur les rangs.
« Ne peuvent se porter candidats à la présidence du parti que les adhérents à jour de cotisation au 22 juillet 2022. Sauf erreur des services du parti, tel n’était pas votre cas » C’est ce qu’a affirmé le président de la haute autorité Henri de Beauregard dans une correspondance adressée à Mme Calmels.
Virginie Calmels a dénoncé ce rejet criant à des manœuvres visant à éviter sa candidature qui « bouscule un scénario bien huilé écrit d’avance », selon ses dires, ajoutant que ces tentatives pour empêcher sa candidature ne font que renforcer sa détermination à assainir un parti qui en a bien besoin ! »
A titre de rappel, Virginie Calmels avait annoncé sa candidature le 23 août dernier.
